Nine-year-old Maja covers up her mother’s alcohol problems from the outside world and is at the same time the caretaker of her little brother. She does not understand the pressure she is living under or what she is missing out in her childhood. Maja’s life turns upside-down during the Christmas period on a family farm. On the farm she meets a caring and wise Grandmother, a scary but misunderstood Uncle, a mythological creature, and a life changing journey starts for everyone.
