Logline:
Jem is nearly 19 and with nothing but her wits and the help of mutineer outsiders, she must escape her flood-stricken country and save Morgan, the girl she loves. Because in her world – a future UK where only those with the most useful skills can survive – she will soon be judged against other teens, including Morgan, to see if she deserves to live.

Bex Harvey co-wrote the 2017 Oscar winning short film Sing (dir. Kristof Deak, 2016). In 2017, she was selected for the Edinburgh Film Festival’s Talent Lab and subsequently developed a feature film Valerie & Me with the festival’s Talent Lab Connects. Her comedy horror short It Should Have Been Me (dir. Emily Greenwood, 2017) was produced by Merman Productions and broadcast by Sky TV. She has also developed TV series with British production companies Pozzitive and Channel X.

Terhi Kylliäinen has produced short films Sea Dragon (dir. James Morgan), which recently won Children’s Jury’s Prize for Live-Action Short at Chicago Int’l Children’s FF, Strange Weather (dir. Tom Shrapnel) starring Maxine Peake, and James (dir. Claire Oakley, Screen International’s Star of Tomorrow 2019), funded by The Wellcome Trust. Terhi has associate produced two feature films, a UK-China co-production Legendary (dir. Eric Styles) and UK-France co-production Road Games (dir. Abner Pastoll).
