Logline:

The residents of the forgotten Bin try to rediscover the meaning of their existence. Bottom -a jagged bottle bottom- is the only one who doesn’t remember his life before the Bin. Trying to learn where he came from and prove his worth, he sets out on a dangerous journey into the depths of the Bin. However, his personal motivation for the journey becomes insignificant when he realises that he is the only one who can prevent the entire Bin’s terrible fate.

Katarzyna Leśniak is a graduate of media production at the University of Northampton and of the Faculty of Philosophy at the Pedagogical University of Cracow. She is an editor of feature films and documentaries, including Birds Are Singing in Kigali, for which she received the individual award for Best Editing at the Gdańsk Film Festival in 2017. She has written several videos, commercials, and a short film. Rubbish Life is her full-length film screenplay debut. The project received a grant for development from PFI (Polish Film Institute).
